Part 1:
The image on the left is an image I took in New York City of a building called "The Vessel" which I took to emulate Joel Meyerowitz's The Empire State photograph. The Vessel is famous for its unique architecture and open building concept. I believe this was my best image I took for this assignment because this building is quite the subject on its own for a photograph and you can look at it for a while and be mesmerized. Being able to view this building in person was quite the experience and I am very glad I was able to capture this image of it to reflect on its uniqueness and creativity in design. To create stronger images in the future, I will continue to try to focus on my lighting and composition to get the best quality and bring the most out of my subjects in the images.
Part 2:
The image you took definitely resembles the image taken by Duane Michals. The black and white color scheme with the natural background and body language of the subject really makes both images feel and look similar. Great job on this blog post!
